Barefoot Landing Breads
Ever want to know how to bake really good homemade bread ? Come learn the lost art of artisanal bread baking with Earl and Rosemary Binkley and Barefoot Landing Breads.
Earl has long experience within the food industry, going back to his training at the esteemed Culinary Institute of America. Rosemary has years of teaching experience. Her passion is researching age-old ethnic recipes, such as German Kuchen, German Stollen, Finnish Braided Cardamon, Old World Rye and of course, good old American Apple Pie.
Where
Barefoot Landing Breads is a hands-on bread and pie baking school. We teach classes out of our yellow cottage, perched high on the hillside above the beautiful Mississippi river village of Fountain City, Wisconsin. Our baking room provides a cozy learning environment, with room for two to five students at a time. Personal attention is guaranteed.
What Do I Need to Bring?
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a notebook and pen or pencil. Although we can provide aprons, if you have a favorite apron, bring that. If you are taking a pie class, please bring your own pie plate. Don't bring a deep dish pie plate. We recommend you use a simple glass Pyrex plate.
